Officials from the City of Denver, Colorado came to visit the Kenton County Detention Center to learn more about our Jail Substance Abuse Program (JSAP) that was created in 2015. This program provides substance use disorder treatment to county and state inmates. The overall goals are to improve inmates’ substance abuse treatment before and after release, reduce the number of fatal and nonfatal overdoses, and to reduce inmates from reoffending related to their substance abuse.
